Realizing what I should have really done...

They say time heals everything
And it’ll only get easier
But there will always be these scars to remind me
Of all the pain and sorrow that dripped from my eyes
Of all the memories I will never touch again
Scars never fade away…
They are left to remind me of every “I love you” I forgot to say
Every memory I could have made, but made the excuses
Burning holes into my heart, I’ll always regret not saying I’m sorry
Scars hold the reminder of inexcusable memories
To help me never forget the truth
Of what I should have done different …
