What is love, is it just suffering and pain

Some have felt, some have avoided

Others have endured and continued to remain

but others had their feelings voided



What is love, is it just loyalty

To come to love only one person

ugly or beautiful, poor or royalty

There's just no need for any reason



What is love, is it just persistence

Never giving up, never holding back

Some are dying but continue their existence

Wounded, but for that person they'll always come back



Love is both despair and happiness

and it's always true never the less.
