Feelings of emptiness

Darkness fills me
My soul is empty
Everything i touch turns to black
I am nothing more than an empty void
Waiting to be filled
Happiness eludes me
Or am i eluding happiness?

You see what you want
Smiling, laughing, happy me
If you would look deeper
You'd see so much fear
Fear of feeling
Reaching out
Being rejected
I'm nothing but a shell
Prove to me that I'm real
