The Love That Cannot Be

Caught in the beauty,
Of a stunning damsel,
I feel a change in me,
It hits me like an anvil,

I wish to make her my wife,
But our love cannot be,
Forever I will dedicate my life,
Though our love cannot be,
Because she,
Is the one who hangs her heart from a tree,
To keep it safe from men like me,

I will give her my soul,
And my body will follow her every move,
Forever attached to the love that cannot be.
