A poem about a brownie I saw left out in the rain |
| Sponge Brownie Today, I saw a sponge brownie. It sat contently on a sign. As I looked at the sponge brownie I wondered, What fiend left this poor brownie out To become what I see today. I’m sure the day of its abandonment was Dry and probably sunny. I’m sure on this day, it had not yet Become a sponge brownie, But today was cold And raining. The once brown morsel of Chocolately decadence is now Filled with raindrops, Heavy and damp. |
