Commentary on daily living |
| We get up every morning stumbling young and old We think we see all that there is We see the bed, the couch, the chair, the computer and TV We go from room to room thinking we need to ready for the day We need to shower and to dress We need to grab a coffee on the run It’s all because we have to be somewhere a definite time How boring is this concept! Ah, well … I disagree How can one regret the beginning of the day when the sun comes out Hugs us softly and hard Reminds us that it will not last That it could also hide and let the clouds come through! And then the rain starts coming down, but look up The rain has gone and let the sun come in again bringing its rainbow real or imagined To embrace us and to stay until the dark sky softly pokes and prods And slowly does the sun make room for the summer moon There it will stay until the morning dew pushes it slowly away To let the sun come out once more And then … we get up in the morning stumbling all of us young and old.
