A poem on personal conviction |
| MY MARRIAGE I betrayed my emotions Made a mockery of my manhood As drops of tears pelted the shiny floors Of the Lords house More tears as she ringed my finger The finger before the last And my gleeful heart throbbed in felicity As I was betrothed to her Cry out your tears of ecstasy! “We see not your bride” Belched the surprised tongues of unwanted guests However, their eyes are to blunt And their sight, misted by envy But look, she prides about My bride, The words of my moments As rhythms of ink on paper The flares, of my ecstasy! |
