Descriptive poem of a lifetime of distrust. |
| If i could get some help with punctuation on this and just a general opinion about options for last two lines. My Wall My wall of seclusion is half a century thick, Built without the aid of mortar or brick. Its purpose defined by unhappiness and grief, Only a few have glimpsed past its mortal mystique. I trusted one and gave entry many years ago, To this refuge of mine the only life I know. As our time together abruptly did end, Exposed to the world this wall I must mend. Alternatives Never feeling secure extra layers were sought, (sought/persued) For future entry to my fortress can never be bought. (can/will)(persued/approved) |
