i wrote this poem for a girl i met because she understood what i was going through

[Introduction]
i never thought
I'd meet someone like you
troubled and tormented
by the things you go through

in a way
you are just like me
disturbed and horrified
you hide away your agony

you are my savior
you gave me what i lack
your strength is
what i have when i fight back

you are my hero
when you are there for me
you are the light
that i pray to see
