Singing Your Praises

A spiritual poem

I sing my song of praise to you
A song I sing deep in my heart
The words are not enough,
But it's all I've got to start

To always be with you,
Is my greatest wish
To be in the palm of your hand - protected
Is the greatest gift

I know that you are with me
But loneliness is a terrible thing
Yet to feel you near
I have only to say your name

There is no one like you
Your awesomeness can't be contained
I see and feel you everywhere
You are the reason for every blessing

Just like the seasons,
Friends change as the wind blows
But you are as constant as the tide
Always there when I need a hand to hold.

Never doubting me,
You are my strength when I fall
When I want to give up
You are the one I call

It's no wonder why I sing your praises
To whomever will listen
There is no one like you
You are the reason I am living

The need to be in your presence
Is no fad or passing fling
To sing your praises forever,
No rash idea or fickle dream

To bask in your glory forever,
Awe inspiring
