Things I wish I knew years ago. . .2001.

1. I wish I knew to tell my best friend that flying to LA could wait a day or two; she didn't have to tell her hubby in person that she was finally pregnant.

2. I wish I knew that once he hit me that yes, he would do it again and that no, I shouldn't have believed him.

3. I wish I knew about writing.com.

4. I wish that I'd known that sometimes the kindest thing you can do for your adult child is to say 'no' even if it does make you feel like a terrible parent and/or grandparent.

5. I wish I knew to ignore that tiny little voice in the back of my brain that said 'Mom will live forever' and spend more time with my mother.
