Poetry about a love that was not meant to be |
| A girl of such great beauty The world has seldom seen, With eyes that melt the icy look From a boy who's only seventeen. I know not my emotions, So blurry as the oceans. But dusk to dawn transforms, Enlightens all of the distortions. And as the Sun beats down upon me With the strength of new dawn's light, I dream about you more and more: Your lovely eyes, your smile -- so bright! The sound of waves running aground And birds singing along Can only make this better still: They made me realise how I feel. And there you are, dear Natalie, So close and yet, so far. But in my Universe you'll always be An everlasting star. |
