I was in a dark place when I wrote this.

Would you cry if I died?
Would you cry if you learned
That my fate was a lie
And that I was destined to die
Right here where I lie.

Would you cry?

Simply because
I'm not here anymore
Or would you cry because
You actually cared?

Would you cry with others
Would you cry alone
Would you cry with my family
Over the telephone?

I want to know
How sad you would be
I guess what I really want to know is
Would you cry for me?
