The Light

I wrote this in memory of an ex.

At night when the breeze ripples through the darkened sky
Only one thing catches my eye
As the waves crash onto the beach
I remember that night back years ago
When you made me feel aglow
With all the kind things you had said
It's was all a lie; our love nothing but dead
I don't regret what had happened that night
At the end of the tunnel I saw the light
