A pleasant dream

Ever been happy then something happens and you forget theres such a thing as happiness?

His breath warms my ear,
while he whispers the words
I would've gave my life to have heard.
My heart swells, my pulse pounds.
As I experience a new emotion
I never expected to have found.
Happiness fills my soul, as our love
drives away the cold.
With a smile and a vow we
became one, exciting to have
our new life begun.
My eyes open, I look around
not believing what I found.
I rise from my bed and walk
outside. Dread creeps in
as I come to see,
my happiness was only a dream...
