I’m so tired of the holiday season.
Everyone has forgotten the season’s true reason.
The after Xmas instead of Christmas sales, the gift wrap, and greeting cards;
really don't put joy in my heart anymore.
The rude shoppers, the black Friday’s, and stupid tv ads;
always set my mood to black.
Never been one to leave cookies and milk for Santa Clause.
Just the thought of reindeer on my roof gives me pause.
The mistletoe, the tree, and candles are okay I guess;
but it’s supposed to be about the baby in the manger, Jesus, Bethlehem.
Christmas is supposed to be a holy day,
but instead people are already thinking of the gifts they will return or trade.
Even the night before Christmas should be a night of thanks;
but the way things are, does anyone even remember how to pray?
