rock bottom

wrote this some time ago. i will probably edit it in the near future but i hope you enjoy

this pit is so deep and filled with such doubt



You look to the top and see your way out



you scream and you shout but there's no one about



you pushed them away who are they to be blamed



so you decide to take action with attempts to ascend



you get closer and closer with swears to amend



all the mistakes that you've made which have led to this day



but the lies that you spew aren't hard to see through



to a god you claim false and the friends that you've lost



all your pleads and your prayers are entangled in snares



the thought crosses your mind that it may be your time



but before you let go you'll admit what you've known



you begin to fall back with mild content when a hand grabs yours and

saves you from death



with a grit streaked face you slowly look up



to meet the eyes of that one who wont let you give up....it may be

rock bottom but you need not face it alone
