Light

A poem i wrote about light and being trapped in the darkness

So stuck in the darkness,
so filled with fear

So scared of falling,
Blind to the light that was near

But then all it took,
were those famous last words,
for me to finally see the truth

The thoughts I was thinking,
most were not true,
i am loved more than i ever knew

Now here I am today,
back on my feet,
living in the light again,
now allowing myself to see

For before,
sealed in the darkness,
I had failed to see,
the light that was right in front of me
