Darkness

a little poem that i wrote on an impulse. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Darkness covers me.
Like a blanket of shadows through it i can see,
The light, the evil yearning to attack,
But the shadows tirelessly push it back.
I thank God for my shadowy protection.
The blazing glare threatens like a virile infection.
I turn and walk away,
Into the darkness, forever to stay.
