It wasn't long ago, that I last saw your face
It wasn't long ago, that I smeled your perfume
It wasn't long ago, that I gave you a kiss
It wasn't long ago, that I had to say good-bye

It wasn't long ago, that I saw you in a dream
It wasn't long ago, that I saw you walk past me
It wasn't long ago, that you called me on the phone
and It wasn't long ago, that you broke me in two

It wasn't long ago, that I saw you with someone new
It wasn't long ago, that you saw me too
It wasn't long ago, that you told so many lies
It wasn't long ago, that you said sorry

It wasn't long ago, that I cried my last tear
It wasn't long ago, that you begged me to come back to your arms
It wasn't long ago, that I couldn't even remember your name
and It wasn't long ago, that you broke me in two
