a seaside walk

shoreline stretched as far as the eye can see
far past the people and the party
its just you and me and at this time i feel peace
beyond belief
how serene
it can be this big machine
i seek a glimpse of the great unknown
i tell you this and you play along
alot of what if's and how comes
we dont have the answers
but we pretend like were young
feet turn to miles
i lose track as she smiles
all the while i smile back
