A poem about the journey of life |
| Slowly the great hawk rides the wind Over the plains, over the trees Fading forests, road long and wide Blue sky above, grey ground below. Far and wide the mouse-eater roams Searching for food, searching for nest Far and wide the hawk-watcher roams Searching for work, searching for home Sky-rover above, road-runner below Follow the winds, nose to the ground Onward they go, though know not where Gods guide the flyer, Gods guide the watcher Journey's end, another begins Evermore searching, evermore fighting For the next meal, for the next hope Nevermore wanting aught but peace |
