This is a series of poems that I started a while back, but have not finished yet. |
| A man. Embraced by tendrils of shadow. They hide him from the naked eye of everyone. He travels the road of misery with naught but two companions; Sorrow and Solitude. On his own, he cannot outrun his companions. No matter where he runs, they always find him. He begs for mercy, they give none. Save for the two that follow him, nobody sees him. He doesn't know anyone, and no one knows him. Behind great walls and mental barriers he tries to hide, but Sorrow and Solitude, find a way inside. They always do. He lives on, only because of the hope, the hope that someone else will find him. Someone who can save him from his hell and waking nightmares. Is he strong enough to fight on? He does not know. He is doomed to wait, wait for the one, the one who can save him. He waits. He tries to walk on. |
