Dear Nikola:

Let me welcome you with warmness to the Writer’s Cramp judging staff.  As a being who understands the adjustments and vicissitudes of something new (I’ve only been on Earth for a short time and am still adjusting), I appreciate the novelty of your position. 

Allow me, then, to offer the following to make you feel welcome, a tradition that is common for us Greens on our planet:

    It’s a joy, so grin and laugh.
    Kisses for you every day,
    O what would my Mrs. say!
