A beautiful muse for distraction.

A beautiful mistake to look back on.

I could love you.

You could free me from my cynical discontent.

I could rescue you from your insecurities.

I miss the sensation of mutual vulnerability.

I’ll salute the red flags because I missed the sensation of romantic happiness.

Seductive lines. Seductive lies.

I want to rescue you from your self induced loneliness.

Rescue you from your undecided future.

Rescuing you would be a beautiful projection of rescuing me.

A false sense of happiness.

A hopeful romance with a hopeless future.

The knowledge of Freud's ego defense mechanisms provides interesting enlightenment into a constant state of mind.

Displacement and sublimation.

I smile.

You laugh.

We enjoy the company of exciting people all the while the burden of past betrayls haunts the moment.

Faded memories of love's past constantly right under the surface.

I blink my eyes to bring me back to the present.
