A poem wanting a dream and trying to speak it into existence

Spin and weave a long tale of lies
So you won’t see pity in their eyes
So that you don’t feel the shame inside
That you try so very hard to hide
Longing for the tale to be true
Speak it into existence, you hope you do
But the lifelong wish you hope to find
Seems beyond your grasp every time
Hope still lives, lives everyday
But how to make it true is hard to say
Until then, you dream your heart's true wish
Only to wake to an unfulfilled promise
