| Once I went a-walkin' Down shores of golden sand And there I saw a sight, That made my heart expand. The thing that left me breathless, Driv'n to sigh and swoon An eagle flying high above, twixt the sea and moon An ordinary eagle? Nay, fly they not at night. Nor have they from feathers Shooting bands of light. At times soft, sometimes not, Colorful beams did shine, Twixt those golden feathers, creating beauty d'vine "Aha!" thought I to self, "A rainbow birth!" I breathed For I'd discerned the truth, As I this sight perceived. |
