What is madness
in a society so deluded
in its sense of well-being
is itself madness incarnate.

Speak not of the innocent
who's lives were cut short
in experiments conducted by madmen
who we now call healers.

Look with your eyes, what do you see
a glass half empty or one half full
in a society marred with madness
who is really sane.

Politicians spew their ignorance
to all the programmed people:
lock up those loonies
who have managed to break free.

See what you want to see,
not what they tell you to
break free of your programming
run free from the madness.
