Gone
Back, forward
hurt, pain
stabbing, shooting
screaming
Dull ache
fade to nothing
sharp sting
ebbs away
falling down
picked back up
shoved, thrown, hit
battered around
soothed, comforted
"sorry, sorry"
words mean everything
though nothing they produce
broken and hazardly put back together
round and round
blindfolded, hitting walls
over and over
never giving up
can't give up
painful together
but more painful alone
like banging on a closed door
Sealed, locked, hardened
no key, not anymore
trying and trying
crying, screaming
"shhhh, it's okay"
Once you're in,
you never get out
