a description of how we are not all we can be |
| This shadow of an existence we call life is a dark one. For life is the ultimate punishment. For as we live life we are but a fraction of what we could be, should be. For the Gods and their trickery knows no bounds. For as they dangle immortality before our eyes, like a dog watches a bone, we salivate for what is rightfully ours. For life is nothing but an amusement park for the Gods. And we, the clowns, making fools of ourselves, show the pathetic nature of our state. But their trickery runs deeper. For suffering and agony are our only release from this tantalization. For death is the true birth we all seek. |
