See her fall...through it all.... A poem of depression and what may ensue

She pretends
They offend

Numbers on the scale
Tears in the pail

Teeth clenched
Soul drenched

Smile on her lips
Scars on her hips

Heart goes numb
Lie on her tongue

Fake laugh
Heart in half

Plays the part
Broken heart

Unspoken fears
Hidden tears

Eyes dark
Wrists marked

Happy face
Lost race

Hands numb
Screaming lungs

Close to the edge
Feet on the ledge

Trembling toes
Nobody knows

Voice quaking
Hands shaking

Words stalling
Body falling

Failed test
Last breath

Flash in her mind
Back in time

Wish she stayed
Things she prayed

Heart broken
Words unspoken

See her fall
Through it all
