I Am Thankful

As a contract consultant, starting and ending contracts is a way of lift. Last week, a contract I have been working with came to the end. Generally, as with many of you, when a contract ends, I simply move on to the next contract without much fanfare. However, this week I have notice something a little different.

As I was saying goodbye and wished a happy holiday to some clients, while I am accustomed to hearing many of them thank me for helping them grow and become more confident, this week I recognized an emotion I have not taken much time to stop and appreciate before.

That is, how grateful I am to my clients for allowing me to play a small role in their life for a fleeting moment.

To those of you that have the privilege and pleasure of working with and helping others, appreciate it and enjoy; and take a moment this season to appreciate yourself for the important difference you often make in others life’s.
