Short and sweet

I've spent my life waiting between dreams
My happiest times were with eyes closed
I always found that I lacked the means
To realize my desire where the world goes

And now I find something has changed
It seems as though an alarm did sound
I detest sleep to the point of being deranged
For one more minute with the dream I found

When I'm with you I can see
God's most perfect work of art
Patience and persistence are key
