A poem for Mother's Day

Enigma of Beauty

Sometimes I can be so blind
To all you do for me
Words cannot express
What you mean to me.

And I want to thank you
For being there all the time
I can't seem to say it enough,
To tell you of your worth.

I spent some time with nature
To remind me of you
The sun shines upon me
I wish it were you.

And I want to thank you
For being there all the time
I can't seem to say it enough,
To tell you of your worth.

You do so much for everyone
I fear it's taken for granted
Nothing I will ever do
Can repay what you've given me.

And I want to thank you
For being there all the time
I can't seem to say it enough,
To tell you of your worth.

Your name escapes me,
You're a beautiful enigma,
Just to be with you
Brightens up my day.

And I want to thank you
For being there all the time
I can't seem to say it enough,
You mean the world to me.
