Our daily gift ... (Form: English Sonnet) A Poetic Traditions Entry |
| Second Chances The dawn’s first rays across my closed eyes dance, insistent that a new day has begun, releasing me from night’s indentured trance. What’s past is past and cannot be undone. Are we predestined ever to repeat; to stumble blindly through each waking day? Do I control the path beneath my feet or am I guided? I can’t really say. With each new day I find I have, perchance, a choice: to try again; a second chance.
