On no,
particular nights,  loose change
in pocket,  exhausts, moans,
acrobatic waltz  of the city ,
'sins' take a back seat  to
drive and pulse,
quickening ;

Arc sodium grit , concreted steps.
Hollow, unhallowed,
deep, shallow shadows,
in senses but
wistfully ;

Mayhap , a recollection
besmirched,
unheard ,
recalled : eldritch ,
wondrous times :

Vegetable gods , animal deities
sacrificed 'fore altars
And temples of ,
dusk and dawn , the same ,
It seems ,

Our lost , forgotten ,
hidden, crackling
dreams.
