Poem about how reflections reveal our true selves& how introspective views help us change. |
| Crystalline lake, calm and serene producing reflections of clarity Standing silently along a sandy shore emotionally exposed to elements I glimpse a girl, time has transformed faintly familiar, hidden from the world Suddenly, she emerges, exhumed, from deep within a bodily prison Exuberant, energetic, free, sadly staring, at the shadow I've become. Our reflections reveal our identities nothing is exempt from scrutiny Masks are removed, enlightenment occurs individuals are privy to truth Though we may dislike what we see, our youthful self can help guide our future Accept past actions, advance with your life banish your image with a wave of your hand Laugh as ripples dissipate reflections gleefully grasp hands with your younger self Rejoice, for you are on your way to salvation!
