She lay next to me sound asleep
I pray the gods her soul to keep
She dreams and walks the nether path
Trying to avoid the dream god's wrath.

She's a wonderful dog that I truly love
She knows she is from heaven above
A wonderful pet she so pleases me
Wrapped in her warmth I am set free.

Doggy, doggy you are man's best friend
May our friendship never end
My broken heart you always mend
You are my dog and that is a fact
Without you I would not know how to act!
