The asteroid was inbound
It was going to hit the earth
The scientists all frowned
They had to show their worth.

There would be a slight shower
The meteors would burn
The big one was aimed with power
The scientist's wages would be earned.

They would use a laser beam
They'd veer the asteroid of course
Together as a team
They'd be a good resource!

They asteroid missed the earth
The team of scientists showed their worth!
