Little poem about what my love went through with Hurricane Rita

She came through, causing havoc and fear
Worse it got, closer she got near
Changing peoples lives, in one quick motion
Danger looms close, living by the ocean
Try fighting back, protect where you live
No matter what, the bitch won't give
She rushes so fast, winds are thrashing
Power so strong, giant waves are crashing
Destroying and ruining, everything in her way
Nothing could ever happen, to change that day
Returning to find, everything owned is lost
Some can't be replaced, no matter the cost
Some will rebuild, and some move away
Starting over fresh, with each new day
Hurricane Rita, changed his whole life
Ended up here, with me as his wife
