Waves

An anxious night

Don't you know
this is what happens
the gifted and blessed
ride the waves
smoothly and with passion
getting through
not stumbling or giving up
while the ones like me
stare in wonder
while being dragged down
to the depths this ocean creates
teasing us
pushing us above
for one quick second
to just be sucked below again
because my weakness
is in these waves
and I've put to much weight
upon my strength
turning it into the anchor
that I have let down
