Contest entry for Out of the Fog Round 7 December 2016 |
While in my dream I thought it was so real It was the funniest thing I had seen I laughed out loud and I swear I could feel I surely did not want to seem so mean. My friend was acting a clown right then What a fine court jester my boy would make On my face I knew there was a wide grin How could my boy be such a total flake? I laughed at him until I nearly cried He was nothing more than a total ham With tears of laughter I faced down my pride I began to join him in the funny slam. I awoke then with a great laughing start His hilarity had invaded my heart! Shakespearean sonnet 14 lines in iambic meter |
