Contest Entry for Newbies are the Judge February 2017 |
What would the world be with no love Just what would our lives then be like In the heavens someplace above The god Cupid has gone on strike! No arrows will pierce anymore hearts Apathy will be all around We will want him to give new starts No normalcy will then be found. Cupid is a powerful god With an arrow there is feeling We either see them as quite odd Or find them so very appealing. Now he has gone out on a strike We should give whatever he would like. Sonnet form 14 lines, eight syllables per line, rhyme scheme abab cdcd efef, gg |
