5/17 Not a hero.

Why don't you
sit this one out for awhile?
That's a statement,
not a question.
And I'm not your hero.
I just know enough
         to know
I know too much
and even though
         it's not your fault
maybe it is
for acting like
I'm something like
a creation of your mind's perception.
You can give me a rest
and I will go back to
pre-superhuman levels
         for a night.
Maybe it's (too) late
but I'm not a hero.
