A Than-Bauk Poem

Than-Bauk poetry originated in Burma. It has 4 syllables per line with a staggered rhyme scheme. The rhyme is in the fourth syllable of line one, third of line two, and second of line three. There can be more than three lines but usually is not.

Summer is here
hot days dreary
so cheery now.
