Your silvery hair high and tight
the flat-top thinning

You still stand at ease
after all of these years

Still so proud
Still so disciplined

You're softer now
when it comes to communicating
Guess being around "your own kind"
made you feel so much better
The detachment of retirees are better
because of you

The Few, The Proud
Always a Marine
