" Jesus said we would have enemies in the world It's a fact of the Christian way of life The minute the Christian standard comes unfurled You can depend that there will be strife. Darkness hates the light of the Lord It does not want it deeds exposed It will fight tooth, nail, and sword It believes it is cool and composed. Sin lurks in shadows and hides its shame It has no regard for the soul of man It has much experience at its aim It will destroy all those it can. Do not fall victim to the death of sin Jesus knocks so let Him in. Sonnet. No meter intended. 14 lines. |
