I go to sleep with speed and ease
Only to wake back up within the hour
Give me some peaceful sleep won't you please
My disposition has turned quite sour.

Sleep is a luxury to me these days
Oh to sleep the whole night through
I wake up and fight the haze
It's the breathing I cannot do.

My life is not a restful one
I sleep but do not rest
I would love to sleep until I'm done
I do not pass that test.

I go to bed early and stay up late
I feel like sleeping at any rate.
