Why is it your name falls

So easy from my lips?



Why is it when I am frightened

You’re the one I want to hold me?



Why is it when you aren’t around

My life becomes unsure?



Why is it when someone speaks of marriage

It is you that comes to mind?



Why is it so easy for me to love you

When I can’t figure you out at all?



Those are the questions I keep asking

And now the answers all come to mind



Your name falls so easy from my lips

Because you’re all I think about



When I am frightened, you’re the one I want to hold me

Because in your arms I’ll find safety



My life becomes unsure when you aren’t round

Because it is no life without you in it



When someone speaks of marriage it is you that comes to mind

Because I know within my heart I love you



You are so easy to love even if I can’t figure you out

Because you and I fit so well together
