Energized

The discovery of having and extra day.

With February so inclined
to grant me one whole extra day,
perhaps I’ll stay inside, reclined,
as wintertime demands his say.

With February adding to
the calendar a twenty nine,
I could find many things to do;
I'm grateful that this time is mine.

A luxury which time does give
before March comes to show his face.
Therefore it is a time to live,
and live it with a full embrace.

So thankful for the extra time
that every four years we do see.
To waste the day would be a crime—
thus un-reclined is what I’ll be.
